Sorry for the delay in getting new things posted on here. As an anonymous commenter pointed out, APRIL, this blog does have spider webs on it and they aren't Halloween decorations ;-) We are leading quite the busy life right now. The post-Ike update is, thank God we are all still alive. However there was some damage suffered by all of us just as everyone else in our area. For anyone reading that doesn't know, my 86 year old Grandfather lives in front of us here in Porter, he took the hardest hit by far, and he owns/owned a house on Port Bolivar. The torrential rain that came just as the winds died down flooded his home here with ankle deep water or deeper in every room of his house. So he is living with us part time and my parents part time while my Dad is fixing his house. When I said earlier that he owns/owned a home on Port Bolivar, where the house was is still there but there is no house left, just a concrete slab and a few pilings. We were all saddened by this because the house was a place where a lot of good memories were made. He and my Grandma built it in 1970 so all during my childhood we would go down there for good times at "the bay" as we all called it. It was a fun place to be and I was lucky because Jarrad and I were the last ones down there on our anniversary Labor Day weekend. We will all miss it.
On to happier things now. Our little boy is getting so big! He is running around playing and learning so much! Seriously, this kid blows me away at all that he can do and SAY at 15 months. I have lots of pictures that pick up from his birthday until now that I will try to get up in the next few days or week. Hope you all enjoy.
We took a trip to San Antonio to see Cody and Amber for July 4th weekend we had lots of fun and look forward to going back. These are just a few pictures from our trip.
