Sweet boys

I have some pretty sweet boys around here. They surprised me with the best Valentine's day gift, they got me a cross necklace and a baby ring for Jacob. I LOVE it and it was such a thoughtful gift, thank you boys I love yall!

We have just been hanging out and playing with Jacob, nothing big going on, just having fun. Not too much to write about but I have plenty of pictures to post ;-)

I love cookie time!!!

He is so cute, especially when he is sleeping and hugging Jeffery.

This is so sweet. He likes to sit in Jarrad's Grandpa's chair and play with a hole that is in the arm, every time he goes straight for that tiny hole that is now getting bigger because he won't leave it alone!

He and Bunny were so cute having some special play time together.

Funny Pictures

I thought yall might enjoy some of these funny pictures I got of Jacob. This first one you can't see it but he had mixed veggies all over the table too. We had dropped some and he smeared it as far as he could reach! I think it might be time to get a high chair and save the table.

This next looks like we have our very own member of KISS in the making!

This one isn't all that funny but just too cute not to put it up.

He is such a sweet boy and I really don't know what we did before we had him! He is all smiles all of the time with the small exception of bedtime but we can overlook that because he is just so sweet.

Jarrad

As most of you probably know Jarrad does Brailzilan jiu jitsu, he is a blue belt at Solis Martial Arts Academy in Humble. Honestly, not just because I am his wife ;-) he is really doing great at it. I am very proud of him. He competes occasionally in tournaments and usually does quite well. He has a competition in Dallas this weekend and I just wanted to wish him good luck, I know you'll do great defending our honor (that is something he always tells me that he is doing, defending it from what I don't know) You can see one of his fights at http://youtube.com/watch?v=h3o6cqNOvlg he is in the white gi.

Most of all I am proud of him for being a great husband and father. He is a hard worker and good provider for our family. Thank you baby for working hard so that I can stay home with Jacob, I know this is something we have both always wanted but it is easier said than done, we are making it happen though. I am happy to sacrifice material things to be able to stay at home with our sweet baby boy. We are both proud of you and love you like no other! Good luck this weekend, be safe and have fun!

Sleeping and such

Jacob has the hardest time going to sleep at night. He is one of those babies that fights sleep until the bitter end and then just passes out. This is on my mind now because as I sit here writing this I am listening to him cry on the monitor and he has been down over an hour. Most nights aren't this bad usually less than a half an hour but tonight he is really hanging on and there is nothing that upsets me more than hearing him cry. It's a hard thing to do but I know that it is the best thing for him. If I get him up and rock him to sleep, he wakes up when I lay him down so I have to let him go to sleep on his own and then he sleeps all night.

On to happier things....he is sitting up so well now! Most of the time he can balance himself and play, he'll still topple over occasionally but he takes it like a champ and goes right back to playing. Tonight he got a Johnny Jump Up from Aunt April and he loved it! He is a little too light to really get the jumping part going but he thoroughly enjoyed swinging around and entertaining us! Here are a couple of pictures from the event.

It must taste pretty good too :)

These are from Friday morning, Mom and I were eating and Jacob was joining us and he was trying his hardest to get to a packet of ketchup on the table and he was so happy with himself when he got it! And you guessed it.....straight to his mouth!
